Simple Tahini
Tahini is a gift.
My mom introduced me to many types of cuisine as a child and i’m so grateful.
We explored Indian, Greek, Vietnamese, Lebanese cuisine and beyond. We drove for miles to find new restaurants and enjoyed eating together – we just love food. It made us feel connected, appreciative and supportive of the magic that resides in everyone’s culture/history.
I remember pouring tahini over falafel for the first time and being in awe. The bitterness of tahini mixed with lemon, spices and garlic is bliss. It’s one of those sauces that really is just the best in its classic form.
A little water, lemon, garlic, spices and a whisk – she’s ready.
I enjoy this simple tahini over falafel, in wraps, over salads, as a dipping sauce for sweet potato fries and more.
Keeping a little jar of this in the fridge weekly is always a good idea – as it makes any dish come to life.
Try it with my Tahini Corn Arugula Salad!
