This salsa in one word is, fresh.
It’s so similar to pico de gallo; with a few extras- that give it a hint of sweet. I could eat this salsa with a spoon!
When I eat plantains, beans and rice; i need a good sauce. Especially one that bring moisture to the plate. When eating cooked foods, there has to be a fresh element on the plate. For the crunch, crisp and raw element. I was inspired to this recipe from Caribbean hot sauces/salsas. I haven’t had much of this tasty cuisine in my life, but I have loved every experience.
This salsa is great for bowls, chips and dip, quesadillas, tacos, salads and coconut ceviche, enjoy!
