I have been loving adaptogens for 6 years now. Some of my biggest healing, I attribute to the elements of this special group.
When moving from Houston to Los Angeles; I started my healing journey. At this time, my mind was so frazzled. I was empty, nervy, stressed and found myself struggling to find happiness in myself and the world. Making the decision to eat better, heal my trauma and slow down significantly changed my life.
So where do adaptogens come in? I began reading about the powerful properties of cordyceps, reishi, turkey tail, chaga, lion’s mane and more. Particularly studies on their impact on the immunity, mind and hormones. Since these were areas of me that needed immense help; I turned to adaptogens in these mushrooms.
Where I first saw the improvement, was in my symptoms for PCOS and Endometriosis. I couldn’t believe how quickly I began to have relief and in turn how that relief released pressure in my mind.
I know PCOS and Endometriosis are big topics; so I’ll make a separate piece for this area later.
