Toasted nuts and seeds are something special and this spice mix is finger lick worthy.
Course Snack
Ingredients
1tbspOlive Oil*
½cupSunflower seeds
½cupAlmonds
½cupPepitas (pumpkin seeds)
½tbspSalt
½tbspChili powder
½tbspCinnamon powder
½tbspGinger powder
½tbspLime crystals*
Drizzle of Agave syrup (to taste)
Instructions
Heat a large skillet on low heat
Add the oil to the skillet
In a bowl, mix remaining ingredients
Transfer mix to skillet
Keep a steady stir to prevent them from burning
Once they have a nice golden color and are fragrant- remove from heat
Set aside to cool and serve!
Notes
Use any high-heat oil to replace olive oil, if neededI used raw, soaked nuts to improve nutrient absorption. Never heard of lime crystals? its essentially crystalized lime and a touch of dried cane syrup. feel free to squeeze fresh lime to replace the crystalsBest stored in an airtight container- will keep for 4-5 days Good luck not eating them all in one day (:
